Students will have fun learning the Read, Draw, Write (RDW) strategy on two-step, mixed operation problems. First they will learn RDW, and then they will practice it in a game called Four in a Row.

Second graders will love choosing from their tricky word activity menu as they practice reading and spelling irregularly spelled sight words.

As students re-read nonfiction texts, have them classify visual features and record learnings from the captions.

Graphs bring data to life and help us draw conclusions about the information. In this lesson, students will engage with three different kinds of graphs by asking and answering interpretive questions.
