It’s time to make some sentences! In this lesson, students will review parts of speech and simple vs. complex sentences. They will then use their knowledge to create word grab bags to use when forming sentences.

Students will become sentence construction gurus as they learn to craft more sophisticated sentences. Specifically, young writers will use subordinating conjunctions to combine dependent and independent clauses to craft complex sentences.

In this great grammar lesson, students will learn to identify the independent and dependent clause in a complex sentence. Then, they will play a game of grammar-themed musical chairs!
