Kokeshi dolls have been around since the 17th century, and now your child can recreate a piece of Japanese history and culture right at home.

In this activity, your child will create a red envelope that can be filled with money to spread good will and ward off evil spirits in the New Year.

The pottery technique of coiling may be old, but it's probably new to your kid! Make coil pots with your preschooler throw in a little cultural lesson too!
