Students will get hands-on experience manipulating shapes in this preschool-friendly activity. With the help of shape blocks and worksheets, little learners will get the hang of squares, triangles and rectangles in no time.

Your students will get right to the point with this small group activity! Your students will use large push pins to punch out shapes, all while improving fine motor skills and creating class books to read when the activity is finished.

Students will begin to calculate volume of different rectangular prisms using base ten cubes and then transition to using the formula V = L x W x H. Students will then practice using the legendary fifth grade activity, Cootie Catchers.

Sorting takes on a new challenge for students in this activity which engages their critical thinking skills. As students determine defining attributes, they’ll figure out what makes a shape a shape!
