Resolving conflicts and forgiving others is a powerful lesson in the story "The Forgiveness Garden." In this lesson, students will read the story, discuss conflict resolution, and practice forgiveness tools.

In this lesson, students will create a paper chain based on their greatest strengths and attributes. They will also work with peers to share and identify each other's strengths.

Students will explore self-esteem through the book I Like Myself by Karen Beaumont. They will write secret kindness notes to others and to themselves, and reflect on how self-esteem can support connection with oneself and the community.

On some level, all humans want to feel peace and to feel loved. In this lesson, students will practice sending peaceful thoughts to themselves and others and discuss how these practices can support peace in their lives and community.

Compliments can build relationships and a positive class climate! In this lesson, students will participate in a compliment circle, give and receive compliments, and draw/write kind notes to others.

According to research about growth mindsets, certain kinds of praise can stifle growth, while others promote learning and achievement. In this lesson, students will be able to identify and use praise words that support growth mindset.

Speaking with kindness and care can be easier with the THINK method! In this lesson, students will identify questions to ask themselves when speaking to others. They will also practice mindful listening with a partner.

Students will hear about the benefits of mindfulness from JusTme's rap song, "I'm Inspired", practice mindfulness and the STOP tool, and then write raps of their own, encouraging others to practice mindfulness and the STOP method.

In this lesson students will complete an activity called "Raise Your Hand If You..." and be able to define the word “assumption.” This lesson supports the practice of compassion for oneself and others.

Gabi Garcia's "Listening With My Heart" provides students with an opportunity to reflect on ways to extend themselves compassion all year long. This engaging lesson supports students in understanding what kindness is, as well as how to be kind to themselves and others in their daily lives.

When we practice mindfulness we are better able to regulate our emotions, build compassion, and support greater ease. In this social emotional learning lesson plan, students will practice mindfulness and create a video that teaches others about mindfulness.

The Peace Corner is a space where students may practice cool-down methods such as mindful walking, deep breathing, and mindful listening. Students will work together in groups to create activities for their classroom peace corner.
