This lesson is a great introduction to comparing numbers 1-10 using greater than, less than, or equal to. Using hands-on practice and language supports this can be used as a stand alone or pre-lesson for the More, Less, or Equal: Comparing Quantities lesson plan.

Reading simple words can be a lot of work for young learners, but by adding in a cooperative game, everyone wins in this fun filled lesson. Students will be filled with pride as they master how to isolate sounds.

Use this lesson to give your students an opportunity to share about their family traditions. Prior to the lesson, they'll complete a worksheet to gather information about the way their family honors their culture and beliefs with traditions. They'll bring their information back to the classroom to share with their peers.

In this lesson, students will hear the story Mind Bubbles, practice mindful breathing (anchor breathing), and use bubbles to draw pictures of their thoughts from the mindfulness practice session.
