Why make things harder on ourselves? Teach your students to decompose numbers to make math easier! Use this as a stand alone lesson or a pre-lesson for Decompose to Multiply: 6, 7, 8, and 9.

Use this scaffolded EL lesson to teach students about money and the bills we use to pay for things. Use alongside Base Ten Money: Hundreds, Tens, and Ones or alone as an independent lesson.

Students will get to explore three-digit numbers through base-ten blocks and written form. Students will get plenty of practice identifying the place values of a number both individually and with the class.
