Use a short story that can be told entirely in idioms and students will get the picture! Students match story strip text to idioms in this interactive exercise that includes a matching worksheet assessment.

In this lesson, students will learn how to get information from pictures in texts. They will describe pictures with a partner and see if their descriptions match the words in the text. This lesson can be used alone or as a support lesson.

Help your students connect with a classic read-aloud as they learn about the relationship between illustrations and text.
