Earth Day is a time for raising awareness and appreciation for our environment. It’s also a time for using correct punctuation! With this lesson, your students will use correct punctuation, like commas, quotation marks, and apostrophes.

In this lesson, your students will go through the writing process to write about their perfect pets and then make a 3-D version of this pet, mount the final draft, and display it.

This lesson introduces young learners to prefixes. It also gives them hands-on experience with building words using prefix and root word cards.
