Is it a square or a circle? See if you can trick your friends with this zany science project!

Discover that the absorbency of fabrics depend largely on the shape and structure of the individual fibers that make up the fabric.

This science fair project explores how osmotic pressure forces water through the root up into the plant.

Marshmallows are made of sugar, water, and air pockets. Since the marshmallow is flexible, will air pressure cause it to expand when heated in a microwave?

Will the shape of an ice cube impact how fast the ice melts?

In this project, a model of a submarine is built to simulate the buoyancy and displacement of water and air.

This science fair project idea investigates how the shape of an object affects drag.

Examine the effect of pressure on carbonation in soda.

This science fair project idea explores how the shape of a boat affects its density and how much weight it can float.

This science project teaches students to classify different shapes of leaves.

Make water and clay play a little more scientific with this hands-on experiment that teaches displacement and shows how an object's shape affects its buoyancy.

In this activity, your student will be invited to build a chair out of building blocks that is designed to meet the specific size and shape of a small doll or toy figure.

Have you ever seen fruit decay? Find out if a fruit will rot faster if you open it versus leaving it untouched!

Observe how your brain works while it is focused on one thing, and how it works while you are distracted by another thing.

In this project combining nature, art, math, and science, children make rubbings of leaves then observe shapes and structures and sort the leaf images.

This science fair project idea provides evidence that air is everywhere and takes up space.

Did you even wonder why some rocks are round and smooth while others are broken up into small pieces?

Enter the buzz worthy world of bee watching and find out what time bees like to wake up!

In this science fair project, students learn how pressure can make the minerals in a rock line up in the same direction and form bands and foliation.

Find out whether cast iron or regular teflon pans heat up faster and also retain their heat longer.

The objective of this science fair project is to set up a compost bin to convert food scraps and organic waste.

This tricky building block challenge asks your learner to think creatively. They will work on their divergent thinking skills as they try to fill up an index card perfectly with building bricks.

This recipe makes bubbles that not only blow up nice and big, but do tricks and experiments! How do you do it? It's not a secret, it's science!

Spiders don't go to grocery stores or fast food chains to get their food -- they set up traps and wait for their food to come to them!

Do you think you can blow down a sand castle with a mighty wind? Find out which material stands up best to erosion in this erosion experiment.

This fun science project helps to investigate how much water can a plant take up and release in a certain period of time through the process of transpiration.

What heats up fasterâwater or soil? 5th grade students test the specific heat of water against the specific heat of sand in this great science fair project.
