This lesson will introduce students to intermediate map directions northwest, northeast, southwest, and southeast. It also offers practice writing functional texts using transitional words as well as both cardinal and intermediate directions.

Through creative and engaging activities, your students will explore and learn about landforms. In this lesson, they will make their own mini dictionary of landforms.

Through examples and non-examples, students will learn what qualifies as a region. Creativity and problem solving skills will be put to the test as students determine the necessary elements that make up a region.
