Let your students find out that the sentences they speak so easily are formed of many different parts. Have them break down sentences to learn the various parts that form a sentence!

Interjections, one of the eight parts of speech, can be the most exciting. They help students interject some fun and drama into their writing and conversations. In this lesson, they'll brainstorm how to use interjections in their sentences.

In this activity, students will make a step book with the definitions and examples for nouns, pronouns, adjectives, and adverbs. This information will be solidified with a fun hands-on game!

Expose your students to the wonderful genre of drama, but be sure to teach them the important key terms so they understand the structure. Use this as a stand alone lesson or a pre-lesson for the Putting a Play Together! lesson.
