Help kids master fractions with the fun, fast-paced, math comparison game Fraction Wars. After a review, students are split into pairs to practice quickly comparing fractions with different numerators and denominators.

Students will use their hands to mold clay into shapes, then divide those shapes into equal and unequal quarters.

It’s pizza time! Students will be introduced to the concept of partitioning shapes to create fractions that demonstrate halves, fourths, and eighths. This lesson is the first of two lessons that address second grade fraction concepts.
