Homophones and homographs sound like the same thing, but they're slightly different. Homophones are words that sound the same, but mean different things, and homographs are words that are spelled the same, but mean different things. Practice sorting out both with our collection of homophone exercises, many of which include homograph practice as well. Drag and drop the correct answer into the box, or choose the right word from a multiple-choice lineup. Our exercises cover lots of different vocabulary words, too, so by the time your child is done, they'll be familiar with a whole lot of similar-sounding words. Once that's over, they can try to figure out other famous language pairs, like synonyms and antonyms or suffixes and prefixes. Homophones and homographs are a common part of upper-grade language curriculum, and we have just what your child needs to understand what they are and how to use them.
