Students will use their artistic and directional skills as they practice drawing maps and giving directions. By the time it’s done, everyone will know which way is the right way to go!

Spirituals have a long history in the United States, and often serve to strengthen and motivate people. Students will compare three types of spirituals from different time periods and share their understanding with their peers.

Through examples and non-examples, students will learn what qualifies as a region. Creativity and problem solving skills will be put to the test as students determine the necessary elements that make up a region.
